Indy’s BLOG – Squatting Day TWO!

“Knocks at the door!”

Today we woke up with loud banging at the door! …

No One!

When Vil opened the door there was no one. We think it might was the landlord trying to enter the house and  we need to get used to it.

Status

We have still no idea where to go to when they throw us out. The guy who rented us the room bunked off to Athens yesterday, he found a new job there and left us in the house.

For the moment we are ok here and maybe we throw a party on Friday evening? 🙂

The Owner

Tonight the owner stood in front of the door. Vil told him that we won’t leave and go on the road. we paid our rent to the other guy and we rather wait for the police to arrest us, because then we have food and a warm place. 🙂 He didn’t believe, but Vil is dead serious.

Job

At 1600 Vil will had an interview for a position as Senior Digital Sales Consultant in Amsterdam. Cross fingers. Maybe the force will be with him this time.

So much so for today.

Indy’s BLOG – Again: “Too qualified!”

The job search becomes more or less a joke. Vil got another rejection right now, because he is way to qualified. Why companies can’t understand that’s not all the time about money. Vil is ok to work a “lower level job”,  because for him “work life balance” is not just a phrase and more important then money.

Fuck it!

Indy’s BLOG – Interview went well…

Yesterdays interview went very well and Vil thinks that he got the job. The final decision will be made start next week when Vil had a “test day” at the company, but for now we like to think that he got the job…..

It’s a funny situation right now. We are totally broke, not even five Euros in the pocket, we are squatting in an illegal house, we have no gas and it’s likely that we will get expelled quite soon.

So it might be that Vil has a good job, but no home for us next week.

Indy’s BLOG – A personal message to “Mr. Team Lead”

I will write this message in German because this is the only way I can be sure that my insults are correctly spelled. I will attach an automatic Google Translate translation in the end.

This is an extension to this post.`

“Hallo ex-Manager,

bist Du nun zufrieden?

Super, Du Arschloch!

Indy”

“Hello, ex manager,

Are you satisfied now? I think, although you have moved your project more or less to the wall because I regard you as a “sociopath” without empathy, who do not know what really happens.

You are good at pretending to be careful, but when you had the chance to do something good, you showed your true face. Your colleagues in HR are thinking that you were worried, but if that were the case, you would not have reacted so coldly, and Vil was simply fired because it was clear to you that you could get Vil’s chances back on her feet To come to ruin.

Ok, Vil may not be the simplest employee, but he did not deserve it. Oh, ask a question to see who you really are: “Do you really know why Vil was in the hospital?” NEGATIVE !, you have nothing, nothing at all … ..

You had the chance to build a very good team, but unfortunately, you were not able to accept that your employees are not “your subordinates”, but individuals and part of a team, and now the agents are all slow down.

You have accepted that lies were produced as facts, you lied and believe me, these lies have not been unnoticed. You have forced your employees to violate company regulations, you have answered questions of your staff with lies and above all, you have lied to your customers. If we wanted to prove all that we could, it would be quite dark for your job.

Your team is not stupid and they just do your crap because they can not help it because they need the job and they know what would happen when they say something.

Oh, a hint. The next time you talk to someone, do not get too close to him because you have quite unpleasant property one very close, too close to come.

Finally, I wish you only one day to feel as bad as Vil, so you know how shit it is when you puke blood, you are not well, you lie in the hospital and you have to ask if You’ll be able to do that.

And now to the end: Because of you Vil has no job, because you had the power to keep him or fire and now he lives on the road …… Super, you asshole!

GO FOR IT VIL, YOU CAN MAKE IT!

Indy’s BLOG – The status so far…

HOME

Today the landlord stood again in front of the door and demanding something. I couldn’t understand what they where talking about, but one thing is sure; the whole situation smells fishy to me.

We will need to leave the place anyway end of the month and that’s actually quite sad, because the house is very nice and there is enough place for me. Also Badalona is a nice place to live, only twenty minutes with the train and we are in city center.

IF YOU KNOW ANY PLACE WE CAN OCCUPY THE SOFA FOR A FEW DAYS IN FEBRUARY, PLEASE LET US KNOW!

JOB

Today Vil had an interview for a position as a “Business Development Executive” for a big software company in Barcelona. The recruiter sounded quite impressed and Vil is quite sure that they will call back soon for a second interview. Lets cross the claws! 🙂

HEALTH

Vil’s health improved dramatic, in the morning he is not sick anymore, he doesn’t need to take all the pills and that’s very nice to see.

BLOG

Vil is busy rewriting stories, adding more details and media. Now we have around 150 stories in our blog and surely we will continue to write.

Indy’s BLOG – Fired, but healthy!

There is one good and one bad message for today.

Vil just got noticed that he will NOT pass his probation time!

.. and

More important,
finally we know what’s wrong with Vil’s health.

BARK!

Vil just got noticed that he will not pass his probation time, because he didn’t follow the procedures correctly, so “the base of trust is destroyed”. WTF?!

Vil was sick, actually pretty sick, the last weeks and yes, he needed to stay in the hospital for a few days, but now the reason for his sickness is found and all could be good, but… there’s always a but, ..… his company decided not to work with him anymore, because he didn’t pick up his personal phone for a few days while being sick.

Actually his team lead decided not to work with Vil anymore because he thinks that….. bla, bla, bla…. WTF!?

Don’t talk bad about people, but don’t accept everything!

You shouldn’t talk about ex-employers bad, but that team lead is not a good one. One time Vil overslept and came late a few minutes and the following face to face contained five times the threat “it’s no problem to fire you right now”, “HR told me to do so” and “you are here, because I protected you!”. Excuse me please?!

At this time there was nothing to do for Vil, because he had no passwords or accounts and that for more then two weeks, because “Mr. Team Lead” ‘forgot’ them.

Asleep?

And then the “accusation” Vil felt asleep while training.

What could Vil tell you to prove that’s not true? No one else saw Vil sleeping, no colleague, not the trainer, but Mr. Team Lead still insists and continues to bother Vil …….

Maybe “Madame Quality Whatever” should have put her glasses on her nose when sitting, typing loudly while we others try to listen to the trainer.

Whatever, people skills “sub-optimal”.

And what about you “Mr. Team Lead”?  Other than you, we have f***ing have prove that YOU slept while being at work.

Bullshit

OK, I have to admit that there might be was the issue that Vil was a bit way too senior for the team lead. No surprise, because Vil can’t hide his face when someone talks bullshit to him.

Drunk at work?

We can’t disclose any confidential information, but we can say that the team is falling apart. Many left already, others are looking for a new job and the ‘team’ is now an empty shell in utter chaos.

That is very sad, because the in the beginning there was spirit an potential within the team. Actually I feel pity for this “manager”, Vil will find a new job soon, but this guy will always be a very unpleasant person.

Funny Part I:

You can ask all managers and colleagues about Vil and they will tell you that Vil’s attitude and work quality is somehow second to none. OK, maybe a bit exaggerated, but I am no native English speaker! If you want to suppose a different wording, I’m happy to listen. 🙂

Funny Part II:

There is actually no one who can do the job in the moment and the foreseeable future. Vil saw his job advertised on LinkedIN yesterday, means that the market is not covered for minimum another two or three months. Well done, the client will be happy.

Funny Part III:

Vil would love to continue to work for the client, because he really understood and liked the product.

Funny Part IV:

“Mr, Team Lead” forced Vil to use a colleagues login and passwords and when stated that this is against company rules the only reply was: “Then just go to HR, but be aware that I will……!” and that was a threat.

Funny Part V:

“Mr. Team Lead” forced Vil to lie to the customer about the status of the project.

More important!

Anyway, more important, now we know what’s wrong with Vil’s health. Now we know how to treat the nausea, the vomiting and all other discomfort Vil was troubled with every morning for nearly the last twenty years. This was surely one of the reasons Vil was not up-to-speed some important times and we hope this is over now.

Now we can really start, because now we are back on track, healthy, looking forward and this is way more important then to be angry about any “procedure sticking” managers.

Bottom line: Vil lost his job, but way more important he found his health.

Never again ….

[UPDATE I – 17/01/2017] — Vill is still healthy, way better then before, his overall condition improved and now he isn’t so tired anymore. No more nausea or vomiting. The power is back. 🙂
